About.
Open Access Resources seeks to become a place where academics, students, practitioners, and enthusiasts of various academic disciplines alike can find open access resources for their research needs.
Open Access Resources (OAR) is a continuous side-project to compile as comprehensive a list of free open-access credible resources available online as possible. Please note that OAR will only seek to verify that resources listed are free in their online format. As such, other formats may require payment. Furthermore, updates and additions to the site are irregular due to the nature of the site creator’s job (which necessitates travelling for weeks at a time without access to a personal computer so as to travel light). While this is the case, the creator of OAR promises that the site will receive updates and additions when he is not on business trips.
In OAR you will find a series of lists subdivided by academic discipline and countries. Those resources that are interdisciplinary will be categorized under all of their relevant disciplines. In the event a resource covers more than five disciplines, OAR will categorize the resource by its country of origin and not by academic discipline. For those wishing to see a list of resources pertaining to only one category, please choose [Resources => Directories], and then select your desired directory.
I hope you will enjoy Open Access Resources, and find it an indispensable tool for your research, whether public or private.
